Transmission status codes - Inbound Fax

Status codes
The following table displays the status codes that you may encounter. Please note that you will only see a Retarus internal status code if the problem remains after there have been 10 retry attempts to send the fax.

Successful | OK | All pages were delivered successfully. | |
Wrong number | DIAL_NC | Call setup failure. The carrier rejected the selected number because it was invalid or incomplete. | Verify number configuration. Retry. |
Person / Modem | NOFAX_DIS | The remote end could not get recognized as a fax device. A person received the call and hung up. | Contact sender for retry. Open Retarus support ticket if issue persists. |
NOFAX_TO | There was a machine timeout during the wait for the identification of the remote end as a fax device. | Contact sender for retry. Open Retarus support ticket if issue persists. | |
Error with fax transmission | BAD_LINES | The remote station does not support error correction. Document may be difficult to read due to a degraded transmission. | Contact sender for retry. Open Retarus support ticket if issue persists. |
EOD_FAILED | Receipt of the last page of the fax was not confirmed to the sender, who can retry. The last page may be incomplete. | Contact sender for retry. Open Retarus support ticket if issue persists. | |
NO_REMOTEINFO | The remote station hung up before it transmitted its identity name. | Contact sender for retry. Open Retarus support ticket if issue persists. | |
NO_TRAIN/ NO_TRAINING | Remote disconnect during negotiation of fax speed and features before the final page is delivered. May also map to the NOFAX_DIS status code. | Contact sender for retry. Open Retarus support ticket if issue persists. | |
PAGE_REC_ERR | An error occurred during receipt. Appears at an earlier stage than the EOD_FAILED code. | Contact sender for retry. Open Retarus support ticket if issue persists. | |
