General questions about Faxolution for Windows

How do I load the license key?

Once you have finished installing Faxolution for Windows, the Profile settings window opens. To insert the license key you received from your Retarus communication consultant, drag & drop the file to the License field. Alternatively, you can save the license key to your PC and, in the File menu, select Open image-20240528-103741.png to load the license file.

You can also insert the license key by opening the file in a text editor (such as notepad.exe), selecting all content and then copying & pasting the contents into the field.

Does Retarus Faxolution for Windows run on Windows 95, 98, ME und XP?

No, unfortunately not. Faxolution for Windows supports Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and Windows Vista.

Do I need a dedicated line?

No. You only need an Internet connection. You can connect to the Internet using a dial-up modem, ISDN, DSL, or a mobile phone.

Can I receive separate invoices, for example, to allocate faxes to cost centers?

Yes. Contact your Retarus Account Manager. You can receive additional keys, which are invoiced separately. If you would like invoices to be itemized or grouped by cost center or project, for example, use the Billing code function (see What is the purpose of the Billing code field).

Please inform Retarus whether you want to use this type of billing. In addition, please note that test faxes for a large job will be assigned the same billing code as the actual job. A minimum invoice amount of EUR 25 per invoice applies for itemized billing by cost center or job.
