Technical Accounts
This section provides a central place to manage your Technical Accounts. Here you can:
get an overview of all Technical Accounts across the different Processing Regions offered by Transactional Email;
create new Technical Account and receive credentials by email;
reset a password.
📌 About Access Privileges
By default, any myEAS user with the “Customer Admin” role can view all Technical Accounts within that section.

View my Technical Accounts list
This page provides a quick overview of all Technical Accounts available by processing region. You can select a different region using the dropdown list.
The default Processing Region selected upon landing on this page is the same as the one configured for your Customer Number.

Table definition
Label | Description |
|---|---|
ID | Unique identifier for each Technical Account. The naming convention at follows: [your-customer-number]_[processing-region]_UUID. You can’t modify that parameter. |
Name | The display name you have selected during the creation. You can modify this parameter. |
Allowed Entry Interface | Define which Transactional Email facade can be used with the Technical Account. You can modify that parameter. Note: newly created Technical Account can have only one entry interface configured at once. |
Status | Active, Disabled or Locked. After a Technical Account creation, the default status is set to “pending” until you send the Setup Sheet to our Support Team to finish the rest of the configuration. |
Tracking Points | By clicking on “View in Live Search” you are redirected to the Tracking Points related to the selected Technical Account and Processing Region. |
Actions | Here you can edit the authentication method and edit the Technical Account Basic Parameters. View section below. |
Modify an existing Technical Account
Edit the Authentication method
By clicking on the button, you can:
view the “username” part of the credentials;
request to reset password for the selected Technical Account, after which you will receive an email notification;
modify the list of IPs for Technical Accounts that use the Source IP Authentication method (SMTP only).

Note: for security reasons, the password is not displayed in myEAS.
📌 Email notification
Only the logged-in myEAS user who created the Account will receive the notification.
Create a new Technical Account
Click the “New Technical Account” button above the overview table to define the following parameters in the dialogue window:
the Technical Account's display name;
the Processing Region where data sent from the Account will be processed;
the entry interface allowed for the Account;
for the REST interface, Basic Authentication is selected automatically;
if you select SMTP as the entry interface, you will be able to define the Source IP Authentication method in addition to Basic Authentication. You can set up to 100 unique IPs.

When you click on “Next”:
the Technical Account is created;
its ID is set using the following naming convention: [your-customer-number]_[processing-region]_UUID;
you will receive an email notification;
the Technical Account status is set to “pending” until you send the Setup Sheet to our Retarus Support team. The status will change to “Active” when the full configuration has been implemented, tested and approved by our internal team.
