Can I send a test fax to our group's Retarus fax number using the fax portal?

Yes, you can send a test fax to your group’s Retarus fax number using the fax portal, as long as you have been given access to a faxbox.

Can I send a fax to multiple recipients?

No, currently sending to more than one fax recipient is not possible.

Do I get a fax delivery confirmation notification when I send a fax?

No, a fax delivery confirmation email is not sent to the sender of the fax.

  • However, the status of any faxes you send can be viewed anytime in the “Outbound” folder. The different stages of the fax transmission are viewable under the “Status” column in the “Outbound” folder.

    • If the fax is still transmitting, the status displays as “sending.”

    • If the fax transmission is completed successfully the sent icon (image-20250226-001459.png) displays.

    • In the rare instance that a transmission error occurs the undelivered icon (image-20250226-194605.png) displays.

How can I tell if my fax was sent or if there was a transmission error?

You can view the status of the faxes you sent in the Outbound folder. For any faxes that were not successfully delivered due to a transmission error, you will see an undelivered status and icon image-20250225-235030.png under the status column.

Can I mark multiple faxes as read/unread?

Yes, you can mark multiple faxes as read/unread using the eyeglasses icon (image-20250225-231422.png).

Can I mark a fax I'm previewing in the document preview window as read/unread?

Yes, there are two methods for marking faxes as read/unread while you are previewing a fax document: 1) using the eyeglasses icon (image-20250225-231422.png), and 2) using the more actions icon (image-20250225-232718.png).

Can I drop/move a fax into a different faxbox?

Yes, any user or admin with access to a faxbox can drop/move a fax into any other faxbox within their tenant space.

Can I delete a fax from my faxbox?

Yes, users and admins with access to the faxbox can delete faxes.

  • Deleted faxes are retrievable from the trashcan and are kept in the trash for the default period of thirty days.

Can faxes be forwarded to a different fax number?

No, currently faxes cannot be forwarded to a different fax number.

Can faxes be forwarded to an email address?

No, currently faxes cannot be forwarded to an email address.

How does the activity log record accessing a fax item?

The activity log records the first time a user accesses a fax item to keep access tracking clear and manageable.

Subsequent accesses by the same user are not logged unless one of the following conditions applies:

  • The user marks the fax as unread/read and then accesses it again.

  • A different user accesses the same fax item.
